There are few things like the Highland Open that represent the pure goodness and generosity of such a diverse and caring group of people. Whether it’s the players, the tournament committee (HOTT Committee, as they are called), the volunteers, families and friends, everyone pitches in to help raise as much money as possible for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Again in 2012, we are deeply moved and gratified by everyone who helped us, and the help continues to pour in, as Rose Sponsors continue to be identified and counted. There is still time for you to help … please see below about our “65 Roses” campaign.

This 30th year of the Highland Open also proved to be one of the best yet with the largest field ever – 125 teams — that cooperated, squeegeed and never complained after a Friday night and early Saturday rain that caused a three-hour delay throughout Saturday. But, we caught up by Saturday night, and we had a fabulous day of semifinals and finals on Sunday.

Thanks to everyone who made the 2012 Highland Open a tremendous and meaningful success. For more information, please click here to go to the tournament page where all draws, results, etc. are posted for the tournament.

What is life like with new lungs and without CF filling them with fluids? How do WE take our every breath for granted? Click here to hear Jamie Crane’s own words and to let him personally tell you “Thank You” for your prayers and support.

Just a few weeks ago, Jamie Crane was in serious condition, waiting for a double-lung transplant. After 26 years of suffering from cystic fibrosis, there wasn’t another viable option. Fortunately, that life-giving lung donation came through, and Jamie underwent successful surgery at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans.

After nearly three weeks of recovery, Jamie has moved into an apartment near the hospital where he must remain for another two months. Jamie’s family has kept us updated about his progress, and Jamie has asked us to pass along his personal thanks. Please continue to pray for Jamie and his family.

Please become a Rose Sponsor today so we can help the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation find a cure to this dreadful disease. Jamie personally sponsored a Rose before he went into the hospital! Please join Jamie and the 42 other Rose sponsorships as we seek to meet our goal of 65 Roses by the start of the Highland Open next week. Click here to download a Rose Sponsor form — the best get well card Jamie could receive.
